History
The Lake Metroparks Volunteer Bike Patrol has been active since 2002 and encourages cyclists to assist the Ranger Department.
Members are taught how to handle themselves in all situations they will encounter in the parks. They study the park rules and regulations and how to recognize when those rules are not being followed. They learn how and when to contact a Ranger and how to conduct themselves in those situations as well as everyday settings. They undergo training to safely handle themselves in all situations while in the parks.
