Lake Metroparks and the Painesville Township Board of Park Commissioners partnered on a shoreline project that included protection of the shoreline, a 200' pier and ADA access to Lake Erie and its spectacular views, sunsets and fishing.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on October 17, 2017 to mark the opening of the pier.
