Country Lights, presented by Fifth Third Bank, is a fun-filled celebration of the season featuring horse-drawn wagon rides through a winter wonderland trimmed with a quarter of a million of holiday lights lining the buildings, trees, rails, and the farm-themed displays featuring scenes from popular nursery rhymes and the Twelve Days of Christmas.  Festively decorated Christmas trees deck-the-halls of the Visitor Center and the classroom is filled with the sights and sounds of model train layouts. 

Guests are invited to get off the wagon ride to take part in festivities down in the Arena. Visit with some of Farmpark’s animals in the Well Bred Shed and enjoy shows and drills presented by the Lake Metroparks Volunteer Mounted Posse or the Light Horse Brigade. Learn how to rope with Cowboy Ben.
Pony rides are available for $3.

Santa’s Workshop is the place where memories are built. Children select from a wall full of wooden toys the one they want to create. They then sit down with one of Santa’s elves to build it in a dazzling holiday display of wonder. The elf assists the child to put the toy together, complete with drills, power screwdrivers, and of course hammer and nails.

The children then take their creation to the paint section on the next step of creating their masterpiece. Of course, no toy is complete at Santa’s Workshop without the sparkle of glitter! Be sure to bring your camera to capture the memories of your child hard at work.

Enjoy the beauty of Christmas trees that have been festively decorated by more than 20 local organizations throughout the Visitors Center. Model trains villages fill the classroom with the sights and sounds of holiday hustle and bustle that are sure to delight kids of all ages. And of course, Santa will be in the theater to meet with the children.

The Sawyer House Cafe will be open for dinner without reservations. Enjoy a meal with the family during your evening at Country Lights. A snack shop is also available. Make a stop in the gift shop for some great holiday gift giving ideas!

Tickets go on sale at 10 am on November 3!

To guarantee admission to Country Lights, purchase of advanced tickets is recommended as the event sells out in advance.

• Tickets are required.
• Includes admission for the entire evening.
  Sold by wagon ride times.
• Wagon rides begin at 5:00 p.m. and run every 30 minutes.
