The Visitors Center hosts a large operating model train display. Both HO and N-Scale layouts will be exhibited. Operating Lionel trains and an operating Lego train layout will also be featured along with a display of American flyer model trains. A G-Scale train will be running on the Garden Railroad layout in the Farmpark Courtyard. Check out a railroad photo exhibit by Ed Ribinskas and displays on agriculture and the railroad.
Children will enjoy the wooden train interactive play area. Children may also build a wooden train for an additional fee.
Admission $6; ages 60+, $5; Youth 2 - 11, $4; younger than 2, Free

Miniature steam-powered engines, provided by the Lake Shore Live Steamers, will pull passengers through the woodlands of Penitentiary Glen Reservation to the rim of the gorge from 1:00 to 3:00 pm (weather permitting).
Children will enjoy the wooden train interactive play area in the Nature Center along with the other interactive nature exhibits. Take time to enjoy In Celebration:
Lake Metroparks 50th anniversary exhibit
and It’s for the Birds art show . Learn about native Ohio wildlife at the Wildlife Center. Browse the Nature Store and hike the beautiful trails!
Admission is free to all ages.
