The Wells Fargo Stagecoach at HorseFest!
From 1852 to 1918, Wells Fargo rushed customers’ important business by any means - steamship, railroad, and, where the railroads ended, by stagecoach.
In the great enterprise of building reliable transcontinental transportation, Wells Fargo came to own and operate the largest stagecoach empire in the world.
Since then, Wells Fargo has been forever linked with the six-horse Concord Coach charging across the vast plains and high mountains of the West.
See and take a ride in the world-famous stagecoach pulled by a four-draft hitch at HorseFest!

Clemson Show Belgians
The Clemson Show Belgians (pictured at top) from Chardon will amaze you as these mighty horses, weighing more than 2000 pounds each are hitched as a six-horse hitch. For their finale, feel the ground shake as eight giant Belgians thunder past Showman’s circle!
Cowboy Mounted Shooting
This exciting demonstration reminds spectators of cowboys of the old west!
Armed with two single action .45 caliber pistols, the competitor speeds through a course designed to test their horsemanship skills and shooting ability – all put together. While navigating through a course, the rider must shoot at 5 targets with one gun before re-holstering and pulling out their next gun for the last five targets. Scoring is based on speed, accuracy and following the course of fire correctly. Targets are balloons and ammunition is black powder blanks for safety.
