The Children’s Schoolhouse Nature Park in Kirtland Hills is dedicated to teaching and sharing Lake County’s natural heritage with children. All programs are developed with the three Rs of environmental education in mind: Respect for nature through learning; Reverence for all life and everyone’s role in the natural world, and the Responsibility we all share to take care of the natural world for future generations. Children who visit the Schoolhouse learn through their senses—they see, touch, smell, hear, taste and remember.
