Maple syrup production at Farmpark promotes conservation by preserving 27 acres of maple woodland.

Watch the entire process as the sap is collected, boiled,
and turned into maple syrup and other products. 

Throughout the weekend, demonstrations offer hands-on opportunities to learn about the maple sugaring process. Help tap a tree and gather sap used to make maple syrup. You’ll even learn how you can make maple syrup in your own backyard.

Get a taste of the delicious end product as you sample freshly made maple syrup and maple sugar. Maple stirs available for purchase to make your own tasty treat.

Schedule of Events

Farmpark’s very own pure maple syrup and other maple items are available for sale in the Woodland Science Center and Gift Shop.

• Come see the newborn piglets, calves, and baby lambs.
• Discover the beauty of more than 200 quilts on display.

Several maple sugaring activities and the pancake breakfast will also be offered on March 3, 4, 17, 18, 24 & 25.

Adopt a Tap

Support Lake Metroparks’ Maple Sugaring Program

Help Lake Metroparks introduce the story of maple sugar to residents of
Lake County and Northeast Ohio. You can receive maple products and be recognized as a supporter of the educational mission of Farmpark when you adopt a tap. At the higher level you and your guests can receive the opportunity to learn the art of sugaring from Lake Metroparks’ experienced syrup makers. Help tap a tree, gather sap and experience the process of making sap into syrup! Assist in the making of maple candy and take home both syrup and candy to celebrate the sugaring season.

Even if you don’t have time to work in our sugar bush, you can support Farmpark’s maple program by adopting a tap for the season. You’ll receive a certificate of support, syrup, maple candy and recognition on our
“Adopt a Tap” board.
