Lake Metroparks is the regional host.
 This June, Lake Metroparks will host 300 active Boomers ages 50 and above as they compete in the annual competition and fun of the 2011 Northcoast Senior Games. Athletes come from all over Northeast Ohio including Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga, Lorain and Ashtabula counties.

Most events are held in Lake County. Competitive events include track & field, bowling, swimming, softball, bocce ball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, table tennis, billiards, archery, basketball, tennis, and cycling. That’s not all; events also include a variety of fun games that are entertaining and enjoyed by all!
Athletes can participate in a 5k Run/Walk, which is part of the Lake Health Distance Classic. This event is organized by the Northeast Ohio Running Club, partnering with Lake Health, Lake County YMCA, Lake County General Health District, and Lake Metroparks. An additional fee of $18 is required to participate in this event.
Competition groups are divided into five-year categories, beginning at age 50.

Pre-registration is required by May 26
- $15 per athlete
- No registrations will be accepted after May 26.
- Registered athletes receive an official 2011 Senior Games T-shirt.
Additional Fee
Lake Health Distance Classic 5k Run/Walk - $18 per person
