Fiber-producing animals take center stage at Woolfest.
Get an up-close look and pet many of the breeds of fiber-producing animals – llamas, alpacas, angora rabbits, and many different breeds of sheep.
Ever wonder how materials to make a sweater or scarf or other garments produced from fiber? At Woolfest, discover first-hand how the hand-spun and woven products are created from natural fibers, such as the fleece of farm animals.

Lake Metroparks Farmpark
June 21, 2013 • 7 to 9 pm
Experience an
evening of wines and fibers from three of the
most exciting yarn and fiber producers, Italy,
Australia and South America. Enjoy a fashion
show featuring garments hand knit in the yarns
from these areas of the globe while tasting wines
from each of the featured regions.
Accompanying
finger foods will be served. Raffle
and door prizes. The evening will be moderated
and hosted by the herd from Ewes d’Bleu Yarns of
Distinction.

The quality of natural fibers, fiber craft supplies, books, and hand-woven, hand-knitted, or handcrafted fiber products are yours to discover at the Fiber Marketplace. Vendors from across the Midwest showcase high-quality, natural fiber products from the raw fiber to finished products and demonstrate spinning, loom weaving, knitting and more for sale. Other fine products including garments and art produced from animals’ fibers will also be on display.

The Fiber Art show showcases works of fine artistry in fiber arts and fiber textiles, featuring works from the Western Reserve Rug Hookers Guild.
Entries will be on display in the Visitor Center. View nearly 200 pieces of fiber art, including knitted, crocheted, woven, and felted items as well as hand-hooked rugs.
People’s Choice award in each category is selected based on votes by the public viewing the show. Be sure to vote for your favorite in each of five categories.

Take I-90 to the Rt. 306 exit. Head south on Route 306 five miles to Chardon Road (Route 6), turn left on Route 6, and head east one mile. Entrance to Farmpark is on the right.
