Brief Description:
Under the supervision of the Outdoor Education Manager, Outdoor Education Specialist delivers educational programming for grades K-12 concentrating in biology, environmental science, chemistry and physics as well as other Outdoor Education programming. The position will also encourage creative development of new educational programs. Will present summer camps June through August.
Hours: 24-28 per week, 28 in the summer months.
Requirements:
Associates or bachelor’s degree in environmental education, natural or physical science, education, or related field preferred with 2-3 years of equivalent experience required. Must have experience working and/or teaching children. Annually completes all necessary safety trainings required by Lake Metroparks. Must be able to work evening, weekends, and holidays as required. Must have valid Ohio driver’s license and be able to be insured under Lake Metroparks. Background check is required.
