Rate: $10.10/hr. starting rate based on prior experience/education.
Locations: Positions may be available at Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park in Fairport Harbor; Painesville Township Park in Painesville Township; Farmpark in Kirtland, Penitentiary Glen in Kirtland.
Brief Description: Building and/or grounds maintenance, performs general park clean up. Duties include but not limited to; mowing park grounds, painting, picking up litter, landscaping, assisting in making minor repairs on buildings and/or machines and performing custodial tasks. May assist in setting up special events. Must have the ability to perform physical labor, follow directions and set priorities. Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ball Field (specific to Painesville Township Park): Mowing outfield, drag and line infields, layout ball diamonds, and irrigation work. Knowledge of softball/baseball rules preferred.
Nature Play outdoor site (specific to Penitentiary Glen): Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated experience working with families with small children, detail oriented and patient.
Requirements: Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, evenings and holidays as required. Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor, including being able to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid Ohio driver’s license must be insurable by Lake Metroparks auto insurance.
