Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using a GPS-enabled device.
Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity in which participants use a GPS-enabled device to hide and seek containers called "caches" at specific locations marked by coordinates.
Discover the natural hidden gems of Lake Metroparks as you explore areas on a treasure hunt. Complete the geo trail to receive your Lake Metroparks path tag. Click here for more information. The coin series ends December 31, 2019.
Below is a listing of caches on Lake Metroparks' property:
These caches are not actual containers. Finders must discover information or solve a puzzle for further instructions from the hider.
A multi-stage cache consists of multiple discoveries of one or more intermediate points containing the coordinates for the next stage. The finder must visit multiple locations in order to find the final cache. Listed location is the starting point.
A traditional cache means that a container is at the listed location.
