Hemlock Ridge Park opened last fall for all to enjoy. This year, Lake Metroparks constructed an additional trail, guiding visitors deeper into the majestic forest. The trail is approximately one mile and lines edges of ravines and provides more overlooks above the Grand River.
The entire property is approximately 619 acres and boasts high-quality forests, intact floodplain, hemlock-lined streams and more than a mile of Grand River frontage. This section of the Grand River is designated as Wild by the state of Ohio, denoting undeveloped riverbanks and clean water.
At this new park, you will find a one-third-mile entrance drive, a 30-car parking lot, shelter, pit-style restroom, and 1.87 miles of trail that allow public access to this park located off Vrooman Road. Adventurous visitors are permitted to explore the extensive property off trail.
Stay tuned for more information to come about this property’s development.
