Shelter reservations for 2024 began Monday, December 4 for Lake County residents. Open reservations began Thursday, December 7. Reservations must be made at least seven days in advance. Recommended browsers for our registration and reservation system are Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.
Lake Metroparks has 22 shelters throughout Lake County that may be reserved (reservations must be made at least seven days in advance); others are available on a non-exclusive, shared-use basis. All shelters provide picnic tables, grills, restrooms and additional amenities. Some shelters include electricity, nearby trails, playground equipment and volleyball courts.
